Located to the north of Townsville, Billabong Sanctuary is a quality wildlife attraction that allows visitors to hold and cuddle up to their adorable koalas. During the encounter family members are also allowed to take their own photos. Cooberrie is located roughly 30 minutes from Rockhampton. Set amongst bushland, grassland and rainforest, Cooberrie Park offers koala holding experiences on enquiry. Patrons can take this photo separately or in groups, however, only one person is permitted to hold the koala.
Each Participant must be able to understand English or have a paying, participating interpreter with them. Australia Zoo reserves the right to refuse any person to participate in the Animal Encounter for health, safety or other reasons. Some encounters may require special assistance to provide access to Wheelchair bound guests.
Staff must be informed of mobility issues when booking the encounter. Animal Encounters are subject to weather. Please be aware that the encounter may need to be cancelled if bad weather occurs before or during the session. All encounters are subject to change without notice.
