And I'm certainly not using "idols", even though they give bonuses -- unfortunately, they also give bonuses to the monsters, which makes it a bad idea :- Early on I upgraded weapons when I could, but I'm no longer doing that even though I don't know which weapon is good, so what I'm upgrading could still be the wrong thing.
I haven't even looked at that item shop thingy since I'd have no idea what to buy. Of course, that also means I'll never be able to complete all proving grounds.
So, the question is: how is the money-supply in the game? Upgrades seem to be getting more expensive as the tier goes up, so it seems rather risky to do them. And I still have material for several "certain weapon", which means there's even more weapons to come I have no idea how many more maps I'll get before having to fight whatever endboss there is, or how much money will be in these maps.
Do I have to continue "not spending" anything, or is it really not that much of a problem to upgrade all weapons and possibly get an item or two from the shop as well? Last edited by Kargor ; 16 Aug, am. Showing 1 - 6 of 6 comments. The Distillery. The Forge. The Lost and Found.
The Memorial. The Shrine. Doobiedog, thanks for the suggestion. I know it took a while for me to get around to this but it has been updated with the links. I agree it would be useful to be able to have it list what the upgrades unlock AND have a way to see exactly what those things are rather than just a name.
Thanks again pal. Great guide. Would be great if you updating it with links to the items mentioned. The turrets and carts can be killed by throwing the machete from a distance. Try to kill the squirts as quickly as possible before they scatter as some of them will run away from you.
Bullhead Court Bullhead Shield. This proving ground requires good timing. To win first prize you can only be hit once. To lure him off the edge stand next to the edge and roll out of the way just as he rushes towards you.
The Scrap Yard Cael Hammer. Try to hit multiple objects with each swing and keep moving. Zulwood Grove Scarp Musket.
To win first prize you need to knock all of the balloons off the island in 15 shots or less. Have the Werewolf Whisky activated at the Distillery and then jump off the island until the whisky is activated. Shoot the balloons off the island in groups and try to keep them together. Slinger Range Dueling Pistols. It may take a few runs to work out the best path through. Only both with the enemies that are in your way and leave the rest. Trigger Hill Army Carbine.
You have 35 seconds to kill all of the enemies. This is one of the easier challenges especially if you upgrade the Army Carbine with faster aiming time. Grady Incinerator Flame Bellows. The Flame Bellows is a fun weapon to use but this proving ground is fairly tricky. You need to destroy 72 Peckers before the 30 second timer runs out.
Boundless Bay Galleon Mortar. This challenge requires you to kill a bunch of Squirts that are roaming a small island. Time your shots so that you can take out large groups of them with a single shot. Upgrading to Burstone Bombs and Sharpnel Charges will make it easier. Fire Bellows - Something Foul Calamity Cannon - Something Wrong These weapons and their materials are scattered throughout the levels, normally in fairly obvious places the last weapon is found in the 'Zulten's Hollow' level. Each weapon must be upgraded at least once If you do not have a certain material, many of them can be found as prizes in the Proving Grounds.
Also, once you have built the Lost and Found building in the Bastion, most materials can be found there. Upgrading also requires some of the game currency small blue shards.
Good ways of getting these are completing the Proving Grounds, Who Knows Where levels and by activating idols once you have built the Shrine in the Bastion. Showing most recent comments.
